Welcome to The Idyll Explorer. My name is Howie. This is not a refined portfolio of my work but an informal collection of my photography, much of it personal. Some favorite pastimes include sailing, rowing, fly fishing, shooting, gardening, and horticulture. I love exploring and the outdoors. Searching for those out-of-the-way and hidden places has been somewhat of an obsession of mine since childhood.  I am a 2005 graduate of the School of Visual Arts and am currently working in the commercial photography industry.
